In Rosario, the Governor attended the ceremony for the 21 anniversary of the terrorist attack against the headquarters of the institution, in the city of Buenos Aires.
Viernes 17 de julio de 2015 "Unfortunately, 21 years have passed and we are still awaiting that this tremendous attack is clarified and, as we have called it year after year, we want to know the truth and punish those responsible with our laws; justice should be done for a disaster that has left a gash in our society", said Governor Antonio Bonfatti in Rosario last Friday, during the commemoration of the attack to the Amia headquarters in Buenos Aires (Argentine Israel mutual Association).
"Twenty-one years are a long time. We intend that the Amia case is no longer manipulated, in any way, and that justice is done", added the Governor.
The ceremony was held at the plaza Montenegro, opposite the stairs to the Cultural Centre "Roberto Fontanarrosa", and was also attended by the Mayor of Rosario, Mónica Fein; the provincial Senator and Governor-elect Miguel Lifschitz; the provincial Ministers of Labour, Julio Genesini; and of Innovation and Culture, Maria de los Angeles González; national parliamentarians Hermes Binner and Juan Carlos Zabalza; the President of Daia Rosario, Daniel Epstein; and the President of the Mesa Juventud (Youth Board), Javier Levit, among other authorities..
The Amia bombing was a terrorist attack that took place in the city of Buenos Aires on July 18, 1994. It was the largest terrorist attack in Argentina, killing 85 people and injuring 300. The Jewish - Argentinian community is the largest in Latin America and the fifth largest in the world.
