From the National Flag Monument, Governor Maximiliano Pullaro led the launch of the Santa Fe Province Summer Operation in Rosario on Friday, a comprehensive deployment that combines security, road safety and tourism promotion to accompany the summer season throughout the province.
The governor recalled that the initiative has its roots in his time as Minister of Security in 2017, when a specific plan was devised to reinforce safety on provincial and national roads. Over time, that logic expanded: "We understood that the same operation could also serve to showcase the province's various tourist attractions," he said. Now as governor, he said, that vision has been consolidated into a clear political decision: "Santa Fe must assume its role as a tourist province".
Pullaro stressed that the objective is to highlight the natural and cultural riches of the Santa Fe region and offer them to both residents of the province and visitors from other jurisdictions. In this regard, he highlighted the opportunity to learn about "our culture, our history, our river, our lagoons, our popular festivals and our cuisine" within the framework of accessible, local tourism designed for a complex economic context.
Operation Summer 2025 is structured around a tourism programme covering nine corridors distributed throughout the province. In addition to recreational and cultural activities, a strong preventive security plan will be implemented. "We want those who visit Santa Fe to feel cared for and at home," said the governor.
Among others, the event was attended by the Ministers of Justice and Security of Santa Fe, Pablo Cococcioni; Environment and Climate Change, Enrique Estevez; the head of the Provincial Road Safety Agency, Carlos Torres; the secretaries of Civil Protection, Marcos Escajadillo; Security, Omar Pereira; Criminal Analysis, Esteban Santantino; and the undersecretary of Control and Coexistence of the Municipality of Rosario, Ezequiel Brocci, as well as local and provincial legislators.
Specifics
The operation involves 1,400 men and women from the Santa Fe Provincial Police Force, who will be carrying out checks on roads, access points, popular festivals, cultural gatherings and beach events. In Rosario, one of the focal points of the operation will be the La Florida beach resort area, where there will be a permanent reinforcement of 60 officers per day to prevent incidents of insecurity and ensure the enjoyment of public spaces throughout the season.
In addition to this deployment, there will be around 100 police vehicles and the coordinated participation of multiple areas of the provincial government. The Ministry of Productive Development, through the Secretariat of Tourism, will work together with the ministries of Health, Government, Justice and Security, and other agencies, with the aim of providing comprehensive coverage that combines prevention, healthcare and services for residents and visitors.
Pullaro placed special emphasis on the national economic context and the need to offer nearby alternatives for rest and recreation. "We know that many families cannot travel to other traditional destinations in the country. That is why we want to offer them a beautiful summer in Santa Fe, with quality and safe options," he said.
The governor also highlighted the size and diversity of the province, with more than 860 kilometres of coastline, lagoons, rivers and natural landscapes that take centre stage during the summer, along with popular festivals that showcase traditional foods and local identity.
The launch in Rosario followed on from last Thursday's presentation on the waterfront in the city of Santa Fe, and marks the formal start of an operation that will run throughout the summer season. "We invite everyone to enjoy and experience the invincible province of Santa Fe," concluded Pullaro, summarising the spirit of a proposal that seeks to combine safety, tourism and proximity in every corner of the territory.
