Governor Maximiliano Pullaro and Minister Gustavo Puccini attended the opening of the 13th Comex Week in Santa Fe, a key event for the export sector.
During the ceremony, Pullaro stated that "Santa Fe has the strongest and most robust productive network in the Argentine Republic. That is why events of this nature must strengthen the relationship between the State and the private sector in order to consolidate international markets. We also have the expectation and adrenaline rush of seeking new international markets and consolidating our position with the products we can offer the world."
In this regard, the governor explained that "from the beginning of our administration, we understood that our mandate as the Province of Santa Fe was to work shoulder to shoulder and back to back with each of the entrepreneurs, businesspeople, SMEs and industries so that they could do better and solve their problems. To that end, the first thing we did was to work hard to balance the province's accounts and stop burdening the private sector. We also had to resolve many logistical issues; we knew that if we fixed the roads and had better airports and ports, we would be able to reduce our industry's operating costs and become more competitive."
Strengthening export potential

In this context, Pullaro stated that "we also support companies when they need it. That is why we launched the In Company programme, strengthened spaces such as this one (Comex) and held the Santa Fe Business Forum. With these initiatives, we have managed to strengthen the export potential of the province of Santa Fe and consolidate new businesses."
"We have a very strong private sector, and we feel and are convinced that, if the State supports it, the province of Santa Fe really has no limits. Thank you for the joint work we carry out every day with the different chambers in the province of Santa Fe to be able to show our products to the world and to be able to go after certain markets that we are longing for. We know very well what we do and we do it very well, which is to produce and make our products the best in the world," concluded the governor.
Promoting production and exports
For his part, the mayor of Santa Fe, Juan Pablo Poletti, highlighted that "the city is once again positioning itself as a place for events and business. This activity represents one of the values of our administration, which is public-private coordination."
Meanwhile, the director of the Argentine Chamber of Commerce and Services (Cacys), Marcelo Elizondo, acknowledged "the effort made by Comex Week to achieve the leap that foreign trade in Argentina needs," adding that "beyond the growth we experienced last year, we can have a much higher share than we currently have".
Finally, Enzo Zamboni, president of the Santa Fe Chamber of Foreign Trade (Cacesfe), stated that "we exporters are at a crossroads: we want to export, but we need the macroeconomy to consolidate. We also need the microeconomy to stabilise. We want a country that promotes production and exports".
The event was also attended by the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Clara García; provincial deputies Pablo Farías, José Corral and Mariano Cuvertino; the senator for the La Capital department, Julio Garibaldi; the president of the Municipal Council, Adriana Molina; and the provincial secretary for Foreign Trade, Georgina Losada, among other authorities.
Comex Week
Comex Week runs until Thursday at Estación Belgrano (Bulevar Gálvez 1150) and is organised by the Government of the Province of Santa Fe, through the Ministry of Productive Development and the Santa Fe Global Agency, together with CaCESFe, CACyS and the Municipality of Santa Fe.
