Pullaro: "Rosario is back to what it was, and that is immensity"

The governor referred on Wednesday to the tercentenary celebrations, which brought together 250,000 people in front of the Monumento a la Bandera, in Rosario.

The governor of Santa Fe stressed: "We have done our bit “to overcome the hardest moments of a city hit by violence”, although he warned: "We are in a process and there is still a long way to go".

Governor Maximiliano Pullaro referred to the show "De Rosario para Rosario" held yesterday at the Monumento a la Bandera to celebrate the 300th anniversary of that city, which was attended by 250,000 people, and which featured Nicki Nicole, Juan Carlos Baglietto, accompanied by the Provincial Symphony Orchestra of Rosario. "It was a caress to the soul that all of us who live in the city of Rosario gave each other, I lived it with great joy. I felt that we were on the right track," he said.

In statements to the press early Wednesday morning, the provincial president said that "one always remembers the hardest and saddest moments that those of us who lived in Rosario had to go through, a city that was badly hit by violence, which only appeared in the national and international media because of the horrible and horrendous things that happened"; but that "last year festivals and important artists, national and international sporting events have started to come to Rosario. This indicates that Rosario has returned to what it was, and that is immense, and we feel that we have done our bit to make this happen.

Regarding what happened on Tuesday, Pullaro stressed that "the artists gave a gift to Rosario, they did not charge the canon that they often charge. This didn't cost the Municipality or the Province anything. "There are many people who could never pay for a ticket to see Nicki Nicole. The richest and the poorest in the city had the chance to see her from the same location," he said.

Changing and remaining vigilant

The governor acknowledged that "there are many things that we cannot neglect, no moment, but Rosario is clearly changing", and indicated that "in Buenos Aires there is a feeling that the issue of insecurity in Rosario has been resolved and we have managed to deal with it, but I am much more cautious: we are in a process of containment, but there is still a long way to go".

In this sense, Pullaro recalled that "at this moment we are installing more than 5,000 cameras that are added to the artificial intelligence system of monitoring and reverse monitoring, which no other city in Latin America will have", a process that will be completed by the end of February, and added that "we are moving forward with prisons and police stations, and we are working hard on security, and I think that the change is noticeable".

Legislators to defend the province

When asked about the political situation in the country, Pullaro said that "it bothers us that they always want to impose candidates on us from Buenos Aires and that they ignore us. The two fronts that are currently competing at national level want to impose Cristina Kirchner's candidates on one and Karina Milei's on the other. However, we are facing an electoral process showing that we have people from Santa Fe, who will defend the province, who will be concerned about the problems of the people of Santa Fe, which is why my vice-governor, Gisela Scaglia, a noble, good and hard-working person, is heading the list of Unidos para cambiar Santa Fe and Provincias Unidas at the national level. And we are very happy and very hopeful that we can do well, and that the people can see that there will be legislators who, after a long time, will defend the interests of the province".
