Pullaro: "A nation can't progress with poor roads"

The governor urged the Nation to maintain its road infrastructure and noted that the Province has proposed taking over maintenance of routes 33, 11, and 34.

Before an audience of thousands, the governor emphasized the achievements of the productive interior.

On Saturday, Santa Fe governor Maximiliano Pullaro attended the XXIX Provincial Transport Festival in Pujato, San Lorenzo. He emphasized the event's significance as a reflection of the region's contribution to national development.

Pullaro pointed out that the festival "is bigger and more popular every year" and highlighted the growing participation of residents from all over the region. In a context that he described as "very complicated for the Argentine Republic", he said that the productive interior "pushes the wheel that makes the country grow and sustains it".

The governor also said that "I wish Argentina was more like Pujato, Santa Fe and this productive interior", referring to the efforts of those who work and offer their services related to freight transport. According to him, if this contribution were more fairly valued, "Argentina would be different".

Productive logistics

During his speech, Pullaro also referred to the state of the national roads and warned that "they are in a very bad state". He clarified that in some stretches minimal repairs were carried out, "as a result of court orders following demands by legislators from Santa Fe", but questioned the fact that the national government "has neglected the maintenance of the road network".

The president argued that "a country that intends to develop cannot have roads in poor condition" and warned that this situation makes logistics more expensive. He also criticised the fact that the central administration "has maintained fiscal balance by failing to provide basic services and without repairing public goods effectively".

For this reason, he once again demanded that the Nation assume responsibility for road infrastructure works and recalled that the Province has presented a project for the transfer of the highways on routes 33, 11 and 34. The aim, he said, is to reduce the number of accidents on the national stretches that cross Santa Fe territory.

Productive interior

The communal president of Pujato, Daniel Quacquarini, highlighted the massive attendance at the XXIX edition of the festival, which - he assured - "year after year continues to grow". He also thanked the provincial government for its support: "This festival shows that the interior exists and that we are the productive interior that is going to take Argentina forward", he affirmed.

The meeting was also attended by the national deputy Melina Giorgi; the president of the Chamber of Deputies of Santa Fe, Clara García; the provincial deputy Silvina Distéfano; and the communal vice-president of Pujato, Gustavo Petetta.

National Transport Party

Pujato was named "Provincial Headquarters of the Motor Transport of Loads" by decree No. 342. Since 1994, the "National Transport Festival" has been held there, as a tribute to the town's transporters.

The event is characterised by its agro-industrial exhibition, the parade of trucks, live shows and recreational activities. Over the years, it has become a traditional celebration and a key event in the region, attracting people from all over the area.
