Governor Maximiliano Pullaro led the inauguration on Wednesday of the second edition of Expo Empleo in Rosario, a fair organised by the Government of Santa Fe, which aims to bring together in a single space more than 100 companies and more than 1,000 active job opportunities. Specifically, the aim is to bring together in the same place companies that need to fill jobs, with people who are looking for a new or first job.

During the opening in Bioceres Arena in the city of Rosario, Pullaro assured that "this type of event shows the best of the collective identity of the province, the strength of work, the generation of employment and the public-private articulation and with the different talents that the region has to project and connect, in such a way that in all the Santa Fe territory there is growth".

In this sense, the governor remarked that "Argentina will move forward if we manage to generate jobs and economic growth", for which "the State has to lower its expenses, its costs and work on the infrastructure that the private sector needs to generate employment", after which he stressed that from the Provincial Government "we have accompanied in road and energy infrastructure, in connectivity and in the training of people seeking employment" in addition to "working on the consolidation of international markets, in subsidising the interest rate that allows us to boost industries and companies in the province".

For Pullaro, events like Expo Empleo "show the power of a city like Rosario that is recovering and getting back on its feet, demonstrating that together with the rest of the province, they are the productive engine that drives change in Argentina".

The opening ceremony was also attended by the Ministers of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Roald Báscolo; Productive Development, Gustavo Puccini; and Culture, Susana Rueda; the Secretary General of the Government, Juan Cruz Cándido; the Secretaries of Coordination and Digital Transformation, Mauricio Basso; and Labour, Julio Genesini; of Employment and Entrepreneurial Development, Hernán Franco; of Social Security, Jorge Boasso; of Coordination and Institutional Relations, Gustavo Zignago; the Secretary of Education, Carolina Piedrabuena; the Secretary of Proximity and Citizen Management of Rosario, Carolina Labayru; the Senator for the Department of Rosario, Ciro Seisas; representatives of companies and entrepreneurs.
A bridge to opportunities

For his part, Báscolo affirmed that the event is "the place where those who are looking for a job and the companies that are looking for talent can meet, from which the profiles are known and what is needed for the world of work" and where "the Province also informs those who attend about the tools that the government of Santa Fe offers so that they can be trained".

Finally, Franco said that Expo Empleo is "a bridge to opportunities, the connection of talent and to assist those who are looking for a job for the first time", listing that on this day "there will be more than 900 interviews and more than 1000 searches", and highlighted the participation of companies, institutions and business chambers that "are the ones that carry out investments every day, pushing the province forward".

Expo Empleo grows

The activity will run until 17.30 and it is expected that more than 5,000 people will be able to access and find classified ads, contact human resources consultants, get in touch with companies that will show how they work, participate in talks and conferences on the world of work, register for vocational training offered by the Province through Impulsa and much more.

During the day there will also be an active search area where people will be able to apply on the spot, and a space where they will be able to register for the trade courses of the Impulsa programme.

It is worth remembering that in 2024, the editions of Expo Empleo in Rosario and the city of Santa Fe had 10,100 people registered and the participation of more than 200 companies. A total of 2,600 job interviews were held, and more than 70 % of the companies hired at least one person interviewed at these meetings.
