Easter Week: the province welcomed more than 100,000 tourists with a record economic impact

The most outstanding events included a varied cultural and recreational offer. The estimated economic impact is $ 7 billion.

The province of Santa Fe experienced a record Easter Week, consolidating itself as a tourist destination chosen by thousands of people from all over the country. According to data compiled by the Confederación Argentina de la Mediana Empresa (CAME), and the Secretariat of Tourism of the Province and the Ente Turístico Rosario (ETur), more than 100,000 tourists visited the Santa Fe territory during the long weekend, generating an estimated economic impact of $ 7,000 million. "Tourism is a central axis of the productive policy of Governor Maximiliano Pullaro's administration. Its active promotion and the diversity of cultural, natural and recreational proposals, reaffirms its strategic importance as an economic and social engine for Santa Fe," said the Minister of Productive Development, Gustavo Puccini.

Meanwhile, the Secretary of Tourism, Marcela Aeberhard, stressed that the balance "is highly positive. The impact was significant in terms of economic numbers and also in terms of the number of visitors, with a large number of public and private events", and assured that "these results are no coincidence, but are the product of the work we have been doing from the government".

Meanwhile, the Secretary of Cultural Management, Sebastián Cáceres, indicated that "we closed a long weekend full of proposals and activities, many of them promoted by cultural spaces, which have all been open, generating not only traditional proposals, but also original and specific proposals for each moment".

High occupancy levels throughout the province

Santa Fe recorded an overall average of 80% hotel occupancy during Easter Week. In Rosario it reached 70%, the highest occupancy since 2022. In the cabins it was 90%, while in destinations such as Fighiera, Saltos de Pavón, Melincué and San Javier it reached 100%.

In the city of Santa Fe, a total expenditure of $ 804,384,750 is estimated, highlighting the influx of events such as the Circo del Ánima, which brought together 20,000 people, and the Abel Pintos show at the Belgrano Station, with 5,000 attendees. Likewise, Bach's "The Passion according to St. John" at ATE Casa España was a cultural proposal of excellence.

The National Selective Paddle Tournament brought together more than 700 players and 3,000 visitors from 18 provinces, setting a record for attendance and occupation in the city. The socio-cultural spaces were also protagonists: La Redonda received 30,000 people, while El Molino Fábrica Cultural attracted more than 14,000 visitors.

Rosario: 32,000 tourists

The city of Rosario registered the arrival of more than 32,000 tourists, with an estimated economic impact of more than $ 2.8 billion, and a hotel occupancy rate of 70%. Among the most important events were the cultural activities at the Galpones and the Mercado de Frutos Culturales, which attracted 12,000 visitors. Likewise, musical shows such as Música Electrónica en Lavardén and Plataforma Resuena, hosted more than 2,200 people. On the other hand, events such as Sergio Torres' recital, El Fiestón and Fiesta Bresh, among others, gathered more than 7,000 attendees.

Finally, activities dedicated to children, such as the Triptych, the Aquarium and the Astronomy Complex, provided free options for the whole family. "The diversity of tourist alternatives, which include guided tours, art fairs, museum exhibitions and a vibrant gastronomic offer, positions Rosario as one of the most attractive places in the country," Aeberhard reinforced.
Traditional festivities and connection with nature

Popular celebrations, including the Provincial Chocolate Festival in Barrancas and Centeno's anniversary, also brought together many people in a festive and regional setting. In Rafaela, the presentation of the CarShow took place; in Cayastá, the Travesía India Paddle Surf took place with an original water ride; and in San Javier, a bicycle procession took place in which 100 people participated.
