With the aim of further boosting the internationalisation of Santa Fe companies, Governor Maximiliano Pullaro, together with the Minister of Productive Development, Gustavo Puccini, and the Secretary of Foreign Trade, Georgina Losada, presented this Monday in Rosario the calendar of actions for trade promotion and investment attraction planned by the provincial government for the year 2025.
During the activity, the main tools that the province will make available to the local productive network to strengthen its presence in global markets were presented. This calendar includes 60 activities in 30 strategic markets, with a strong emphasis on South America. These actions are designed to strengthen the presence of Santa Fe companies in the world, focusing on 15 key economic sectors such as food and beverages, agricultural machinery, technology, health systems, mining and oil, among others.
Graciela Alabarce, President of the Ente Administrador del Puerto de Rosario and businessmen from the region also took part in the event.
In his speech in the Walsh Hall of the Government headquarters in Rosario, Pullaro assured that "Santa Fe can be an example for a path that Argentina has to follow in terms of strengthening the productive sector. It is essential to produce but also to take care of the international markets that the province has and to look for new international markets, as this will generate more work and employment capacity in each of the localities".
In this sense, the Governor added that Santa Fe has a plan "of presence in international fairs where we are going to promote the best that our province has, which are the small and medium-sized companies. And we also generate tools for the productive world to come to Santa Fe and for more and more international buyers to see what we Santa Feans are, and for our industries and companies that export to open new markets".
Finally, he valued "the public policy of support through financing for each of the companies that believe they have the power to export" and also stressed the decision to "provide sufficient resources to boost the productive system with subsidised rates through credit lines" and called for "commitment to make Santa Fe unstoppable".
For his part, Puccini assured that from the Government of Santa Fe "we wanted to find a way to give hierarchy to the internationalisation of our companies" and for that reason "this year we are doubling our bet with the participation in international fairs because together with the Santa Fe Business Forum it gives us a working scenario, which is why it must become a State policy".
Productive internationalisation of Santa Fe
The calendar includes 27 participations in international fairs, 13 trade missions, 8 technical missions and 4 reverse missions. A set of training, technical assistance and financial tools aimed at facilitating the participation of SMEs in international networking spaces are planned.
"This calendar was built on the basis of dialogue with chambers, development agencies and companies," said Losada and assured that "we want our tools to be aligned with the real needs of the productive sector. He also highlighted the "synergy between the public and private sectors so that companies know first-hand why to invest in Santa Fe".
Among the actions highlighted, participation in fairs such as Gulfood (Dubai), SIAL (Paris) and Anuga (Cologne) was mentioned, as well as trade missions to strategic countries such as Brazil, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Bolivia. Specific training for companies taking their first steps in exports and the launch of a line of financing with subsidised rates to facilitate participation in international activities were also anticipated.
The 2025 calendar will end in September with a new edition of the Santa Fe Business Forum, a regional event that has become a meeting point for companies, investors and international business leaders. In its first edition, the forum hosted more than 3,000 business rounds between 1,000 Argentinean companies and 200 buyers from 40 countries. For this year, a significant expansion of its proposal is foreseen, with new business rounds, investment forums, training and production circuits.
