Governor Maximiliano Pullaro together with the vice-governor, Gisela Scaglia, headed the opening of the stand of the Government of the Province of Santa Fe at Expoagro 2025, the most important agro-industrial fair in Argentina, which took place from 11 to 14 March at the fairgrounds and racetrack in San Nicolás, Buenos Aires.
The expo had an agenda of unmissable contents for the thousands of visitors who visited it to learn about the novelties and innovations presented by exhibitors, training, events, networking, and all the opportunities that will mark the productive year. In a 100% occupied expo, there were 700 exhibitors, 70 of which are new companies; exhibitors of machinery, inputs and services for agriculture; 12 plots; 14 financial institutions; 30 agri-tech, universities and startups; 7 auditoriums with more than 35 activities per day and 10 livestock auctions.
Santa Fe, Argentina's productive hinterland
Santa Fe disembarks at the show with the premise of combining presentations of more than 30 lines of credit for more than 90,000 million pesos, plus the innovation fund "Catalizar" and the Santa Fe Guarantee Fund (Fogafe), a transformative tool for MSMEs. These initiatives, among many others, consolidate the mega-show as a key scenario for launching high-impact projects for the province. In total, 140,000 million pesos in financing quotas are made available.
In this context, Pullaro said he was "proud to be the countryside, industry, science and technology that contribute knowledge and value to Argentina". "The provincial government is here with attitude and character, showing that the state can be administered efficiently and honestly, to invest resources to strengthen the productive system," said the governor, who in turn highlighted "the articulation between the public and private sectors" to carry out tools "with rates below projected inflation, applying countercyclical policies to sustain the economy and employment.
At the end of his speech, Pullaro remarked: "We have come to show that we are the capital of the productive interior and we have come to show that the only way to grow is by working together", for which he highlighted the joint work with the banks and "the 140,000 million pesos that we are making available to the people of Santa Fe, making an effort of around 15,000 million pesos to subsidise these rates".
Scaglia, for his part, assured that Expoagro would be an event "of great potential, to show the best that we have in Santa Fe, to tell the country that we are to return to Argentina the dignity of work; that we are a people that invests in its province", at the same time that he predicted to the companies "great investments and great purchases because each one of these operations is a source of work in our territory".
Agreements
During the inauguration of the stand, the Provincial Government signed an agreement with the Municipal Bank, for activities planned for tourism and crafts, which consists of the implementation of a mechanism of interest rate bonuses charged to the Province, applicable to the benefits of the credit lines developed by the Bank according to the destination and the characteristics detailed in the agreement. In addition, it signed an agreement with the Bank of Santa Fe comprising a package of financing actions for local investment.
On the other hand, the Government of Santa Fe signed an agreement with Banco Nación with the aim of implementing an interest rate subsidy mechanism at the expense of the Province for producers in the agro-industrial sector. The province also signed agreements with the CFI.
