The event was led by Governor Maximiliano Pullaro. The initiative will be held from 3 to 5 September 2024 in Rosario, with the aim of strengthening exports.

The forum will bring together foreign companies from more than 30 destinations with the aim of generating business meetings with local firms.

Governor Maximiliano Pullaro presented this Wednesday, in Buenos Aires, the Santa Fe Business Forum, an event conceived as a reverse business round, which will bring together foreign companies from more than 30 destinations with the aim of generating business meetings with local firms.

During the activity, held in the Libertador Hall of the San Martín Palace of the Argentine Foreign Ministry, businessmen, entrepreneurs, diplomatic representatives and experts in foreign trade participated to learn about the scope of the initiative, which will be held from 3 to 5 September 2024 in the facilities of La Fluvial in Rosario.

On the occasion, Pullaro said that "it is an honour to be here today, accompanied by legislators and members of the Foreign Ministry, so that they can discover what Santa Fe is. We have all the potential that the world needs at this time to be able to come and invest, so that our companies can make themselves known and show what is the identity of being Santa Fe, which is the tenacity in effort and work".

"Here we have a provincial government that accompanies us very firmly and that plans, together with the private sector, to enhance the best of us. We also have a national government that supports the development of the productive sector and we fully expect that, now that it has the tools, it will be able to generate a higher level of investment in Argentina," the governor emphasised.

"We want to work for our region to grow and we want to show the best of ourselves. For us this event is the most important and significant of the year. It is a unique and innovative event, where people from abroad will come to do business. When Santa Fe starts, the Argentine Republic will start, because our province will be the engine and the productive locomotive of the country," Pullaro concluded.

Santa Fe: a model of development

Meanwhile, the Minister of Productive Development, Gustavo Puccini, said that "the demand in the world demands more and more quality, more sustainability and this new development model is the one our province is working on. We are inviting them so that buyers and investors can come to our province and have the opportunity to get to know what Santa Fe is, the land of Messi, Rosario, our ports and airports. They will get to know our industries, our fields, our science and our development technology".

For her part, the Secretary of Foreign Trade, Georgina Losada, explained that "Santa Fe Business Forum has 3 work axes: an international business round, training and workshops, and an investment forum with sectorial tables. This allows companies that have never been able to participate in a trade mission to access the international market. In addition, we are going to create productive circuits so that companies, technology poles and metropolitan areas can visit them".

Finally, the Undersecretary for the Promotion of Exports, Investment, Education, Science and Culture of the Foreign Ministry, Minister Ramiro Belloso, explained that "the Foreign Ministry, through its embassies and consulates abroad, works with the provincial authorities in their efforts to position Santa Fe in the world, both in actions for the commercial promotion of its goods and services, and in negotiations for the opening of new markets and in the promotion of foreign direct investment".

The Secretary of International Economic Relations, Ambassador Marcelo Cima; the national senator, Carolina Losada; the vice-governor of Entre Ríos, Alicia Aluani; the national deputy, Melina Giorgi; the national director of Trade and Investment Promotion, Jorge Perren, among other authorities, also participated in the meeting.

Strengthening exports

The aim of the Santa Fe Business Forum is to strengthen the province's exports and consolidate Santa Fe as an international business epicentre, fostering the relationship between provincial companies and investors from different countries around the world. It is organised by the Ministry of Productive Development, through Santa Fe Global, the foreign trade agency of the Government of Santa Fe.

In addition, the Santa Fe Business Forum will showcase the tourist and cultural attractions of Rosario and the region. More than 200 representatives of important companies from around the world are expected to attend. Potential investors will have the opportunity to tour the entire province, visiting industrial plants and commercial sites.
