Scaglia: "We are happy to promote a tourist proposal that has the Carcarañá River as a great attraction"

The province presented tourist attractions for this Winter Holidays in Santa Fe, mainly in this tourist corridor of Santa Fe.

Details of the offer during the month of July in the Carcarañá Corridor and other emblematic points were provided.

In the framework of an activity developed in the Aquarium of Rosario, the vice-governor Gisela Scaglia, and the provincial secretary of Tourism, Marcela Aerberhard, presented tourist proposals to enjoy the Winter in Santa Fe. On the occasion, they gave details of the offer during the month of July in the Carcarañá Corridor and other emblematic points.

"We want the people of Santa Fe to stay in Santa Fe, to enjoy their province," Scaglia emphasised, adding that he was "proud to present a tourist proposal that runs along the Carcarañá River. Each of the towns that make up this corridor has been organising proposals that have to do with enjoying the river, the culture, the environment, the entrepreneurial fairs and the popular festivals". Along these lines, the Vice-governor explained that the proposal presented on Monday "was drawn up jointly by Tourism with the Ministries of the Environment and Culture, because we understand that any proposal for tourism development in our province must also go hand in hand with support for cultural undertakings and also have a view to protection, to knowing the environment we have, the environment that must be enjoyed and respected".

Exceptional articulation

For his part, Aerberhard emphasised that "the tour we are offering has to do with the proposals of each of the towns along the banks of the Carcarañá, making up a calendar of tourist, cultural and environmental activities in which each city has added what it has to show. This is something unprecedented, the result of articulation and joint work". Further on, the head of Tourism in the Province underlined that "all the corridors of Santa Fe have attractive activities to offer during the winter holidays and throughout the year. That is why we propose to travel around Santa Fe, to get to know it, to enjoy it".

It should be noted that the presentation of the tourism offer was held in the auditorium of the Paraná River Aquarium in Rosario and was attended by the Secretary of Biodiversity of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, Alejandro Luciani; the Undersecretary of Identity and Territory, Luciano Rey Zapata; the Provincial Director of Tourism South Zone, Claudia Rosenthal; and the Secretary of Sports and Tourism of the Municipality of Rosario, Alejandra Mattheus.

Carcarañá Corridor

The tourist corridor covers the departments of Caseros, Iriondo, Belgrano and San Jerónimo, linking more than 15 localities in its 177 km of extension. The conformation of the "tourist corridor" works as a structuring tool of the space and is a tool for the unification of the tourist offer of the localities of the Province of Santa Fe that are twinned by a relevant link with the Carcarañá River. It was formed in 2018 and endorsed in 2019. It offers attractions such as sport fishing, paleontological museums, camping sites, outdoor activities, bicitur, popular festivals and ecotourism.

For this Winter Holidays, the corridor proposes a complete agenda that includes tourist, cultural and recreational activities in all the towns that compose it, they are Arteaga, San José de la Esquina, Arequito, Los Molinos, Luis Palacios, San Jerónimo Sud, Carcarañá, Casilda, Correa, Cañada de Gómez, Puerto Gaboto, Timbúes, Serodino and Pueblo Andino.
