Rosario: the International Airport will have flights to Lima

The new route is part of the Government of Santa Fe's strategic plan to position Rosario on the international tourism and trade scene.

We are going to continue with the infrastructure works, to continue working for connectivity and to strengthen our province in terms of production and tourism," said Puccini.

Provincial and Rosario International Airport "Islas Malvinas" authorities, together with representatives of Latam Airlines announced this Friday the return of the Rosario-Lima connection, which will start operating again from December 1st. This new international route is part of the strategic plan of the Government of Santa Fe to position Rosario in the international tourist and commercial scene.

On the occasion, the Minister of Productive Development, Gustavo Puccini, thanked the company: "Once again, Latam is placing its trust in this airport, in this destination, in this city, which is important, not only for the city of Rosario, but for the entire province of Santa Fe" and "it is a good message for this province that is getting underway".

He then stressed: "It is also important because the private world is articulating with the public sector, which is what we are committed to consolidating. It is the only way, that is, the state was often thought of as the one that wants to monopolise, or the one that wants to take over 100% of something and cannot do it, it does not have that capacity, and that is why we trust in our way of working, of articulating with the private sector".
At the end, Minister Puccini remarked that "we are going to move the province forward together. For this reason, I would also like to thank the entire airport community that is part of this airport and that does so much for this airport. We have to take care of it, we have to promote it. And we are going to continue with the infrastructure works, to continue working for connectivity and to promote our province in terms of production and tourism".

A gateway to the world

For his part, Latam's Commercial Director, Florencia Scardaccione, said: "I am very happy to finally announce this long-awaited flight. We have been working for a long time, side by side, and finally today we can announce the return of the Rosario-Lima route. This will allow us to connect Rosario, from Lima, to the world, to the most emblematic destinations chosen by Argentines: The United States, the Caribbean, Mexico, even Madrid. A gateway to the world without having to go to Buenos Aires".

Finally, the mayor of Rosario, Pablo Javkin, explained: "Since the first day Governor Pullaro took office, we have been setting out a daily work agenda that has to do with giving this city what it is and what it deserves: a place of productive development for the country. This has been our mission from day one. "We have to strengthen the airport's connectivity, we have to have more flights, we have to have more links with the world. An airport that today has works on all fronts and they are constant. Nothing stops here", he concluded.

The provincial secretaries of Transport and Logistics, Renata Ghilotti, and Tourism, Marcela Aeberhard, also participated in the activity.
