MARTORANO: "WE ARE WORKING ON EARLY CASE IDENTIFICATION, CONTACT TRACKING AND isolation"

Vice Governor Alejandra Rodenas and the Ministers of Health, Sonia Martorano, and Government, Justice, Human Rights and Diversity, Esteban Borgonovo, led a new meeting of the provincial coordination committee in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, formed to optimize the assistance and policies pursued by the provincial government in the framework of the health emergency by the Coronavirus.

In the meeting also participated virtually all the Ministers of the Cabinet, and the 19 senators from each of the departments of the province, in addition to officials responsible for the health area. In this context, a survey of the logistics operationalized and the state of situation of each region in the provincial territory: isolation centers and availability of beds, among other issues.

After the meeting, Martorano confirmed that the senators were informed about "the epidemiological reality because they are decision-makers; they are in the territory and need to have accurate information on what the current situation is."

In addition, the minister remarked, “At the national level there is a very accelerated curve", and from the total national cases (173,355 contagions), Santa Fe has 0.6 percent, when it should be 8.5 percent proportionally.

"We have a curve accelerating and contagions increasing, as expected at this stage of the pandemic, so we are working on early case identification, contact tracing and isolation; all the specialized teams are dedicated to that," she said.

INTERGENERATIONAL SOLIDARITY

On his part, Borgonovo said, “It is necessary the implementation of a mechanism that we call intergenerational solidarity, because the problems are in social or affective meetings. It is logical that youth push to come together, but we must take extreme care."

Finally, Rodenas highlighted, “The balance of the meeting is positive and the province of Santa Fe has, in relative terms, figures that are auspicious. Above all, bearing in mind that we have not taken a single decision that disputes or questions the recommendations of the experts and the epidemiological authorities."
