Santa Fe received a Cuban delegation of biomedical research

Officials from the Ministry of Health, together with authorities from de Industrial Pharmaceutical Laboratory (LIF), the Medicines and Pharmacy Network, and the provincial laboratories network received sanitary authorities from Cuba that are visiting Santa Fe, in the context of the exchange of experiences between health institutions (laboratories in particular) that are interested in getting biotechnological products produced in Cuba.

At the first meeting, held in the Rosario Delegation of the Ministry of Health, they talked about vaccination, cardiovascular diseases, oncological and infectious, and the importance of enhancing preventive diagnosis.

The delegation was interested in the functioning of the provincial health system and presented various proposals developed by agencies from both states (Cuba and Santa Fe) that explained in detail activities related to the production and marketing of medicinal products.

The visitors met with local officials in the Ministry of International Relations of Rosario. Later they met with authorities of the Public Health Secretariat of that city.

The agenda of activities includes successive meetings between doctors and Cuban researchers and authorities of the Laboratory of Medicinal Specialties of Rosario and the LIF, among others, in order to deepen and exchange knowledge about Health Systems

ATTENDEES
The Cuban delegation was received by the Assistant Secretary of Coordination of the Health Cabinet, Emiliano Melero; LIF authorities, Jorge Stettler and Carlos Arques; directors of the Medicines and Pharmacy network, Silvina Fontana and Myrian Fauda; the provincial deputy director of laboratory networks, Eduardo Anchart; and the Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Sebastián Reimondo, among other authorities.

The Cuban delegation is composed of Aniurka Ortiz Marquetti, Economic and Commercial Advisor of the Cuban Embassy in Argentina; Julian Junqué Martín, Commercial Economic Specialist of the Cuban embassy in Argentina; Dora García Delgado, officer of the Biocubafarma Group; Madaisy C. Cueto Sánchez, official of the Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB); Frank E. Bestard Prieto, official of the Immunoassay Centre (CIE); and Alina D. Hernández Santana, Officer of the Molecular Immunology Centre (CIM).
