The province signs a cooperation agreement with the University of Helsinki

The Minister of Education of the province, Claudia Balagué, signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Helsinki, as part of her agenda in Finland, where she went in an official mission.

"This agreement is one of the most important points of the agenda that we are leading for this educational mission in Finland," the Minister valued. "From this signature, we have a very important opportunity for our teachers to specialize and deepen their training, with specialists from this university that has centuries of prestige."

"It is a huge pleasure to start collaboration with the Government of the province of Santa Fe and I have many expectations about our cooperation, as it will be a mutual benefit for both parties," said Johanna Mäkelä, dean of the Faculty of Education and Sciences at the University of Helsinki.

On the other hand, Jari Lavonen, the director of the National Forum for Teacher Training at the University of Helsinki said, "In this institution, international collaboration is a tool for achieving better education and better research", he said.

"When I visited Santa Fe, I was able to recognize how interested teachers were in participating in collaboration with the people of the Ministry to achieve a better teaching-learning process at school," recalled Lavonen, on his passage through provincial schools in 2016.

"I think that observing what really happens in the classroom, both in Finland and in Santa Fe, could help us better understand what is essential in education, what is essential for teaching, learning and having commitment to students".
