Lifschitz shares an open talk with the former President of Spain, Rodríguez Zapatero

In the city of Buenos Aires, Governor Miguel Lifschitz and the former President of Spain, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, participated in an open talk under the theme "More inclusive societies in the current context".

"The Government is concerned and those of us who have different points of view also share the same concern; it is very difficult to generate consensus on an adjustment plan," said Lifschitz during the meeting of different political and social organizations, journalists, intellectuals and national referents.

Referring to the situation in the country, the governor indicated, "There is a complex scenario for the coming months, with the aggravation that an alternative is not clearly visible. While there seems to be a sector of society looking for alternatives, there is a lack of political options that can to express it. "

"Democracy always helps build more inclusive societies, and economic and social proposals and models that promote development; the distribution of wealth. But there is no social inclusion, there is no reduction in the gaps in inequality, which is one of the problems that are important in Latin America and Argentina. We need to build models of economy in the context of globalization and a great opening, playing on the world stage and, at the same time, defending the sectors of the local economy," said Lifschitz.

"The global economy gives opportunities to the whole world, especially to emerging countries. Politics must follow the rhythm after the development of technology, otherwise, it will stay behind. Time is pressing, my conviction is that we must go to great regional unions. I advocate for the European and Latin American union and that is imperative, also for a governance of globalization with these great actors. The G20 is the germ, it is a great instance to be able to work," Rodríguez Zapatero said.

The meeting, held at the Madero Hotel, was sponsored by the Government of Santa Fe and the Federal Investment Council (CFI) and was moderated by journalist Marcelo Longobardi.

National leaders such as Margarita Stolbizer, Victoria Donda, Matias Lammens, Matias Tombolini, Bernardo Kosacoff, Martin Lousteau, Alfredo Lazzaretti, Marcos Lavagna, among others were present.
