The meeting was led by the province's secretary of Industry, Emiliano Pietropaolo, and participated also the Assistant Secretary of Planning and Institutional Relations of Santa Fe, Gabriela Filippini, and authorities of the Federal Investment Council (CFI), as well as the provinces of Córdoba and Entre Rios that were form part of the committee.
Pietropaolo commented on the commercial interests and investment opportunities that Asian companies could have in Santa Fe. In addition, he delivered printed and digital material with all the necessary information such as exportable offer and the advantages of investing in Santa Fe.
In this sense, he reported, "Within the province, we created an agency to advise businessmen, we have industrial areas where companies can be located, and credit lines if they want to make investments."
The secretary said, "I suggest a joint work between the two countries to end with some protocols to enable destinations, from us towards you and from you towards us." He added, "State Agencies have to carry out certain actions to help companies. We need a more dynamic state to help companies export, we should modernize the state using technology as an ally. "
On the other hand, Filippini commented that the representatives of the three provinces that comprise the Central Region exposed their potential and offered the possibility of concretizing commercial exchanges.
SOUTH EAST ASIA TRADE MISSION
To promote and boost exports of regional economies, Governor Miguel Lifschitz leads an institutional and commercial mission to Southeast Asia.
The committee, of which also take part the governors of Entre Rios, Gustavo Bordet; and Córdoba, Juan Schiaretti, participated in the 15th International Fair Thaifex – World Food Asia in the city of Bangkok.
After the fair, CFI organized a business round. After an analysis of destinations, considering foreign trade and consumption of compatible products to the offer from the Central Region, it was selected the city of Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, as second destination of the mission, to carry out rounds of business.
Vietnam has positioned itself as the third export destination for the Central Region, showing a vertiginous growth of 40% per annum. In recent years, it has reached almost 2000 million dollars imported from the Central Region, representing 10% of the total trade.
