Trade mission to Southeast Asia: businessmen from Santa Fe lead speakers in a round of business

In the context of the commercial mission to Southeast Asia that Governor Miguel Lifschitz heads together with officials of the whole central region, last Monday was held a round of business with Vietnamese businessmen.

In this occasion, the representatives of the nine companies from  Santa Fe -accompanied by the Secretary of Industry, Emiliano Pietropaolo; the Assistant Secretary of Planning and Institutional Relations of Santa Fe, Grabiela Filippini; and authorities of the Federal Council of Investment (CFI)- set out their business interests and the importance of the exchange with that country.

Once the round was completed, the referents of each company commented on their impressions.

Fabián Ardeti, from Insuga S.A. from Recreo, explained, "We had the goal of arriving in Vietnam for the rounds of business and the country did not surprise us because our previous customers were here as well as the new ones that we have contacted. What surprises us positively is the great commercial consumption they have of our products: meat and bone meal that are used for feed. "

On the other hand, he mentioned, "In Thailand, the result was also highly positive because we learnt all the concepts of marketing, propaganda and the relationship with the customer that constitute many new things to study”.  Moreover, he suggested to reach the Multilateral Agreements that Southeast Asia is demanding, to facilitate operations between the two countries.

The representative of the AFA -Cooperativa de Agricultores Federados Argentinos (Federated Argentine Farmers’ Cooperative)-, Juan Carlos Volkart, stressed: "The aim of participating in this business mission is based on the need to strengthen the business relationships we maintain with our regular customers and develop new ones, in order to achieve better conditions that allow us to transfer the benefits to the producers and in search of sustainable growth for our cooperative. "

"The potential demand of these countries is very interesting, and we note that Argentina has great opportunities, mainly because of policies that have been adopted in recent years to promote agricultural production," he added.

Lastly, he assured, “The great Cooperative's challenge of continuing showing our products here is gratifying because we notice that, in this type of markets, the potential is very important."

Later, the commercial manager of Industrias Frigoríficas Recreo, Gustavo Quirelli, assessed the commercial mission as "very positive and enriching since projecting and incorporating work and strategies in the future is essential to learn from this type of tour."

He also explained, “The Asian Southeast market has a surprising growth projection: we are talking about an average growth in the order of 7% in their purchasing level year after year, but there are groups that grow almost to 20% annually.

In addition, he emphasized the positiveness of the closeness with the authorities and officials of the Ministry of Production during the tour because their company had investment projects that would not be possible if they did not have some help or access to funding because they are important investments. "

At last, Tomas Moschen Padoan, member of Friar, said on his part, "these kind of events mean a lot of contact face to face with people to talk seriously about business," and added, “It was a very good experience, because we met many new contacts interested in Argentine meat and also for future opportunities. "
