"We present the evolution of the provincial export offer and the products that compose it. Then we compared what Santa Fe exports with what Argentina exports and we show that the province has a clear export profile since 7% of its economy generates, approximately 7% of the country's gross domestic product (GDP) and about 24% of exports at the national level," Pietropaolo explained.
"We also describe the public policies carried out by the province to encourage foreign direct investment in our territory," said Pietropaolo, and recalled that "the products exported by our province are of great interest to Asia. In fact, 34% of exports from Santa Fe are destined for the Asian region," he completed.

The presentation, jointly organized by the Federal Investment Council (CFI) and the attaché of Thailand in Argentina, also included the Minister of Industry, Trade and Mining of Córdoba, Roberto Avalle; and the Secretary of Production of Entre Rios, Álvaro Gabás, who contributed geographical and economic data from their respective provinces.
THE MISSION
To promote and boost exports of regional economies, Governor Miguel Lifschitz lead an institutional and commercial mission to Southeast Asia. The entourage, of which also took part the governors of Entre Rios, Gustavo Bordet, and Córdoba, Juan Schiaretti, participated in the 15th International Fair Thaifex – World Food Asia (the World of Food in Asia) in the city of Bangkok.
In this edition, Argentina is a country of honour, enhancing its possibilities of contacts and commercial promotion within this event. The activity is aimed at small and medium-sized food-producing companies in the provinces that make up the central region.
Thaifex is consolidated year by year as one of the most important meetings of the food and beverage sector for the insertion in the markets of Southeast Asia, the zone that more dynamics of growth has represented for the central region, representing 40% of its exports.
It covers the entire spectrum of Southeast Asian potential importers, comprising emerging countries with booming economies and representing trade possibilities for the Central Region. It also offers two business-enhancing programs: Hosted Buyers and B2B Meeting Program.
To participate in the mission, the province of Santa Fe signed an agreement with the Federal Investment Council (CFI) that provides its technical, logistical and financial assistance.
COMPANIES FROM SANTA FE
Insuga S.A.: Located in Recreo, produces meat and bone meal, refined bovine fat and margarine. It is the main regional company for the processing of raw material from the elaboration of fresh waste meat and offal.
Ronalb S.R.L.: Family business from the city of Álvarez, with production centered on peas, lentils, pisingallo corn, beans, chickpeas. It is the agro branch of a group of companies that develop different agro-related activities in Argentina. It sells and produces in its own fields and in partnership with third parties, applying modern technology.
Agricultores Federados Argentinos SCL (AFA SCL) (Federated Argentine Farmers): Located in Rosario, its production is based on peas, corn, beans. It is the main first-degree agricultural cooperative in Argentina and one of the largest and most vibrant in Latin America.
Paladini S.A.: Based in Villa Gobernador Gálvez, its products are: swine meat, pork giblets. It's an Argentine Company dedicated to the elaboration and commercialization of cold cuts, sausages, hamburgers, and cheeses.
Friar S.A.: From the city of Reconquista, its production is beef with a wide infrastructure installed in one of the most important production agricultural-cattle breeding basins in the Argentine Republic, in which more than a thousand people are distributed in four production plants, duly qualified for the export of their products to the main markets of the world.
Frigorífico Recreo: Also from Reconquista, its production is also beef. The company has an average production of 2 million kilos per month in food, including meat, cold cuts, fats and giblets.
Corlasa: From Esperanza, its production focuses on powdered milk. With a plant of 5000 kilos per hour, processing 800,000 liters of fresh milk per day. It also has a last generation plant of anhydrous milk fat (AMF).
Cabaña Los Ombúes Santa Fe: From Hughes town, its activity is cattle breeding.
FML Meat Service: From Nelson, its production includes beef, offal and poultry. It is a company with ample experience in the production and commercialization of all the products in kind, mainly beef, offal and poultry.
