Lifschitz participates in a forum organized by the IDB to promote regional economies and investment in infrastructure

"We have put the priority primarily on road infrastructure and energy works," the governor said in the city of Mendoza, where the event is held.

Governor Miguel Lifschitz participated this Friday, in the city of Mendoza, in the Business Forum "Intelligent Integration with the world: promoting regional economies and investment in infrastructure", organized by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

During the event, which took place at the Intercontinental Hotel, we discussed the economic growth and global competitiveness of Latin America and the Caribbean, with an emphasis on regional integration, the role of regional economies as a driving force for development and investment in infrastructure.

"I think it is important that the IDB's annual assembly is done here in Argentina and that it is done inside, in a city as important as Mendoza, tackling perhaps one of the most important challenges that Argentina and the provincial government have today", said Lifschitz.

"We need to find a solution to infrastructure financing, within a framework of budgetary restraint, in a framework of fiscal deficit, to obtain financing either from multilateral or private sector agencies in order to finance the projects of infrastructure that are fundamental to promote the development of the economies, in order to improve the competitiveness of the companies, and also to improve the quality of life of our people," the governor analyzed.

"It is always a good place to establish links, to share the views of the different provinces and different governors, and of the national government and the financial institutions. I believe that today all the big provinces like ours have not only chances to enter within the national programs of works, but we have our own projects, our own infrastructure plans. We have set the priority primarily on road infrastructure and energy works," said Lifschitz.
