Lifschitz meets with the former president of Ecuador

Governor Miguel Lifschitz received this Wednesday the former president of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, in a talk that embraced various topics, including the situation of the politics of Latin American countries and the city.

"I am very excited and happy. Rosario reminds me a lot of my hometown, my childhood. I was born in Guayaquil, next to the river," Correa said. And he added, "I am very grateful to the Rosarinos for the affection and to the governor who invited us to this visit. We talked a little bit about the situation in Latin America, what is happening in Ecuador and Argentina, the history and the illustrious citizens of Rosario."

Correa visited the city to receive the Doctor Honoris Causa distinction at the National University of Rosario (UNR).

The meeting took place at the governor's office in Rosario and was accompanied by the Cabinet Adviser, Juan Carlos Zabalza; the Secretary of International Affairss, María Julia Reyna; and the Dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences and International Relations of the UNR, Franco Bartolacci.

RAFAEL CORREA
Rafael Correa was born in Guayaquil, on April 6, 1963. He is a PhD in Economics, professor, politician and economist. He ruled for 10 years, from January 15, 2007 to May 24, 2017, being the president with more time in power consecutively.
