During the meeting, the President informed the Governor of the reopening of the honorary consulate in the city.
"It is an announcement that shows the importance of Santa Fe and Rosario on the international stage; Croatia is a country that has an embassy in the city of Buenos Aires and its first consulate is going to be here in Rosario," highlighted Lifschitz.
"We have a very important Croatian community and they have expressed their interest in deepening the links of technical and cultural cooperation, and above all, economic linkage," said the governor.
"With the president we talked about the productive reality of the province of Santa Fe, the potentialities, our perspectives on the imports market and challenges for the European Economic Community."
The Croatian officials also stressed that the province of Santa is the second in Argentina in terms of Croatian population, concentrated mainly in the towns of Rosario, Santo Tomé, Venado Tuerto, Arequito, Chovet, Chabás, Gálvez and Villa Mugueta.

Other authorities took part in the meeting held at the Rosario headquarters of the government. They were the ministers of Government and Reform of State, Pablo Farías, and of Production, Alicia Ciciliani; the Secretary of International Affairs, María Julia Reyna; and an important delegation that accompanied the President of Croatia.
