The Secretary of State for Energy of the province, Veronica Geese, participated on the panel "International Opportunities for Clean Technologies" at the International Consular Summit 2017, held at the Oakland Marriott City Center in that city in California (US).

"We were invited to the panel to share our experiences, policies and viewpoints on how energy generation can stop being the environment number one enemy to become the number one solution," explained the officer, who clarified in that opportunity also participated Asian trade actors, officials, entrepreneurs and representatives of other States involved with energy and clean solutions."

Geese remarked: "Santa Fe was the only province in Latin America invited to exhibit at the summit, something that is very important for us because they are propitious meetings to know and share the actions that are concretizing other states more advanced than us in clean energies as California. In that sense, we can take experiences to adapt to the possibilities and the culture of our province. "

"We believe that it takes the work and coordinated participation of many actors to achieve the sustainability of the environment and the development of clean technologies," added Geese. "Participating in this summit, being part of this task, hierarchies the actions that we are taking forward in our province as they are taken as an example by similar cities and districts," she concluded.

In addition to the exhibition on the panel on Clean Technologies, the Secretary of State for Energy, together with the province's Under-Secretary for Renewable Energies, Maximiliano Neri, participated in various meetings with officials, academics and entrepreneurs from 27 countries.

INTERNATIONAL CONSULAR SUMMIT 2017
The International Consular Summit, organized by the California Chamber of Commerce of Asia Pacific (CalAsian) together with the East Bay EDA Partnership for Economic Development, brings together experts focused on assisting California businesses doing business abroad.

This year, experts from different countries were invited to participate in two panels: "Cross-border trade opportunities of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC)" and "International opportunities for Cleantech (Clean Technologies) ".

At the same time, East Bay EDA posed strategies and tools for risk management and export finance for companies that do business abroad.

The invitation to our province was made by Sam Driggers, director of global initiatives of CalAsian, who visited Santa Fe the first days of October on a tour organized by Argentina New Generation Foundation that presides Diego Sueiras, sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Argentina and the support of Santa Fe Global.

The visit was framed in the twinning agreement between California and Santa Fe, signed by Governor Lifschitz in Sacramento, California.
