Lifschitz receives the Ombudsman of Colombia

Governor Miguel Lifschitz received the Ombudsman of Colombia, Carlos Alfonso Negret Mosquera, who spoke about the experience of mediation as a solution to conflicts, as well as the peace process being carried out in the South American country.
Nagret Mosquera arrived in the province invited by the Ombudsman of Santa Fe to offer two conferences, one in Rosario and the other in Santa Fe.

The Colombian Ombudsman announced that his presentations explain the following mediation processes: the one which has already concluded with the FARC, the one under process with the LN, and lastly, the one being carried out with the Clan del Golfo, a criminal gang in Colombia.

"The process with the FARC is going really well; the LN pacification process is in its first steps, and the Clan del Golfo mediation, as it is not an irregular force but a criminal band, should be first submitted to the justice and it is now at that Ministry waiting for a law that allows them to negotiate collectively," said Negret Mosquera.

The Colombian Ombudsman also said, "As the next year there will be a World Congress of Mediation in Buenos Aires, this would be an alternative and a way of showing to the Argentine authorities that it is possible to achieve highly significant mediations and make it possible that an organization such as the FARC rejoins the civil society".

During the meeting with the Governor, the Colombian official was accompanied by the Delegate Advocate, Paula Robledo Silva, together with the Ombudsman of the Province of Santa Fe, Raúl Lamberto.
