The plan for young people to continue their secondary studies implemented by the Ministry of Education of the Province will be replicated in Guatemala, Peru, Uruguay and Chile.

Back to School Plan spans Latin America

The Minister of Education of the Province, Claudia Balagué, confirmed that authorities of Latin American countries are interested in the implementation of the Back to School Plan, promoted by the Government of Santa Fe. The experience arising from Santa Fe teachers to promote the return to the classrooms of teenagers who had dropped out high school will be replicated in Guatemala, Peru, Uruguay and Chile.

"The Back to School Plan is having a major impact on Argentina, with several provinces that are already working with us", said Balague, and added, "Several countries in Latin America have asked for teacher training, support and development of the plan in their own educational systems".

In this regard, the Minister argued, "Guatemala, Peru, Uruguay and Chile have already

joined the system." “They all have come to work with us with this project, which is the result of innovation and development of Santa Fe teachers; a highly original plan which has been demonstrated during five years of experience and history, which has given excellent results in the province".

INTERNATIONAL SCOPE
The education portfolio holder said, "the international scope, undoubtedly strengthens us and allows us to work with others to extend this experience".

As for the mode used to exchange experiences with the countries concerned, Balague explained that "there is a face-to-face stage, during which we meet and work with representatives of other countries, which also takes place in international missions carried out, but there is also a virtual instance.  Nowadays, we know that the virtual education is a fundamental tool of great support to reach out to Latin America, so the Virtual Coming Back is taking place with a strong accompaniment to other countries that also require that all young people finish secondary school."

Finally, the Minister recalled, "In Santa Fe, we have more than 15 thousand students of secondary schools who have returned to study and to project their individual and community development because of this plan".

BACK TO SCHOOL PLAN
In Santa Fe, this year, in the context of the Back to School Plan, the territorial monitoring team will visit 4300 youths who have not finished secondary school to encourage them finish their studies. Through this modality, territorial monitoring teams make the first home visits and articulate actions to facilitate their reintegration into the educational system.

The plan includes the possibility of taking studies up again at a nearby school, through a blended learning mode (Virtual Coming Back) or in companies or trade unions, where the classrooms are open to workers in the context of the Self-Improvement Project.
