The Minister for infrastructure and transport, José Garibay, led a meeting with representatives of the Chinese Embassy in Argentina in order to deepen the relations between the provincial government and the oriental country.

The meeting was held at the Ministry, and attended by the provincial Under-Secretary for Execution of Investment Projects of the Ministry of Economy, Hugo Gabriel Rosti; and the Director of International Cooperation, Cecilia Vanadia; meanwhile, from the Chinese Embassy attended the Economic and Trade Counselor, Chengyu Zhai, and the commercial attaché, Jiewen Lyu.

In the course of the meeting, they discussed issues related to the possibility of a coordinated and cooperative work between the Chinese Government and the Province

of Santa Fe, mainly with regard to investment projects. In this sense, they talked about financial participation that could have the Chinese private sector in major projects such as aqueducts, the conversion of the port of Santa Fe, or carrying out works on provincial routes.

The meeting concluded with a new perspective on investment for Chinese enterprises that are in the country which, through authorization from the Embassy, may begin to participate in the bidding process of the works that the provincial government is carrying out through the Office of Strategic Plan.
