In that context, D'Anna explained the objectives of the provincial program Equipar Santa Fe (Fitting-up Santa Fe). "Born as a genuine public policy of State, a federal State which intervenes and gets involved in daily actions, which recognizes in their municipalities and communes actors that transform the daily lives of their citizens", he said.
Also, the Undersecretary added, “The objective of the program is to accompany local governments in the purchase of machinery, vehicles and equipment necessary to provide a better service in a local level and facilitate the access to the market that otherwise could not be achieved".
INTERNATIONAL FAIR AND CONGRESS FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENTS
The motto of the congress was "More local governments with more capabilities will mean more satisfied citizens". Security policy in municipalities, political communication, citizen participation and social networks, the new role of the City Council, representativeness and control of the executive branch, environmental sustainability of the territory, legislative and administrative techniques of the legislative branch, among other topics.
The activities are carried out by IC Latinoamerica, a company specialized in the development of products and services for local governments. The headquarters are in Argentina and Peru, with representatives in Uruguay, Colombia, Chile, and Bolivia.
With the objective to help municipalities to improve their governance, the lines of work are the following: training, technical assistance, development of new information and communication technologies, periodicals edition, and the production of fairs and congresses.
