"Having a flag means having identity", synthesized Governor Antonio Bonfatti at the ceremony that he presided over in Rosario in commemoration of the 203 anniversary of the creation of the national flag, at the National Monument to the flag."Remembering that gesture, for the country and for Rosario in particular, is very important; because having a flag means having identity", said the provincial leader and add, "Fundamentally, on this day, we must highlight the values of Manuel Belgrano: the humility, commitment and the defense of the country ".
With respect to the hero, the Governor stressed, "Even being a lawyer, he did not hesitate to begin military operations at the service of the homeland in the most difficult moments. That is why we also have to think of deposing the personal issues and think about the nation as a whole ", he said.
THE CEREMONY
The ceremony began with the greeting of the authorities of the 203 Anniversary Organising Group and continued with the hoisting of the national flag.
The Governor stressed,"Belgrano’s flag is the banner for times of war and also for times of peace, and Rosario is proud to be its cradle. It is a synonym of unity for all Argentinians, and is a noticeable space where citizenship is recognized."
In the ceremony, which took place in front of the monument, participated, in addition, Vice-Governor Jorge Henn; Rosario Mayor, Mónica Fein; the Minister of Security, Raúl Lamberto; the Minister of Social Development, Mónica Bifarello; the President of the Supreme Court of Justice of Santa Fe, Roberto Falistoco; the Secretary of Public Security of the Province, Gerardo Chaumont; former Governor Hermes Binner; the Secretary of Municipalities, Communes and Regions of the province, Horacio Girardhi; the Vice President of the Municipal Council of Rosario, Norma López; the Archbishop of Rosario, Eduardo Martin; the director of the Aeronautical Military School, Hugo Schaub, and Councillor Miguel Angel Cappiello.
