Since the beginning of the current administration – on December 11, 2011 - a total of 164 works have been completed or are under construction, which reached an investment of 650 million pesos.The balance was carried out at the end of the first half of this year and covers only the works executed by the areas that comprise the Ministry of Public Works and Housing. "The works that are not included in this balance are the infrastructure projects carried out by the Ministries of Health, Water, Education, or the Secretary of State of Habitat," explained Julio Schneider, head of the portfolio.
The official explained that 107 of these works were executed through non-refundable contributions and through the system of Delegated Administration, initiative conducted by the Ministry of Planning, and the remaining 57 correspond to projects carried out by the Provincial Highway Administration Office (DPV), Architecture and Engineering (Dipai), and by the Special Projects Unit (UPE) and Architecture (UEPA).
HIGHLIGHTED ROADWORKS
Regarding the Provincial Highway Administration Office, the achieved objectives are determined by the number of kilometers built or recovered. In this context, the Minister Julio Schneider stressed that a total of 230 kilometers of roads were opened.
From the provided data stand out: the definite opening of the new Highway 19, the Ring road Avenue and the Northern access to the city of Santa Fe, works that had been inaugurated in the administration of former Governor Hermes Binner through a joint investment of 900 million pesos (200 million corresponding to the current Administration). The Route 90 between Alcorta and Melincué, a stretch of the provincial route 40s, in El Trebol, the re-pavement of the provincial route 100-s in Villa Guillermina, and the construction of the boundary road between Rosario and Pérez.
In that sense, the official made reference to the construction of accesses and urban improvements in various localities of the interior, highlighting "Avenue Teófilo Madrejón in San Javier, the entrance to Lehmann, the construction of the street 120 in Avellaneda, and the North accesses to Vera and Santo Tomé, the latter in conjunction with the municipality", among others.
27 NEW BUILDINGS
In the field of architectural works, Schneider said that "among police stations, health centres, hospitals and socio-educational establishments, the current administration opened 27 new buildings".
"In the period analysed – he continued - 12 health centres located in Colonia Rosa, Colonia Teresa, Marcelino Escalada, Romang, Recreo, Franck, Las Claritas, Arroyo Ceibal, Esperanza, Firmat, Santa Fe and Rosario were opened".
On the subject of security, a total of 9 police offices have been opened. "Five in various districts of Santa Fe and Rosario," and the others in Santo Tome, Colonia Bicha, Villa Gobernador Gálvez and Venado Tuerto, explained Schneider.
The Minister explained that in this item are computed two new hospitals built in Las Toscas and Las Parejas, the central emergency 107 Dipaes-Sies in Avellaneda and the socio-educational establishment for young people in Venado Tuerto. As well as the Instituto del Profesorado No 2 of Rafaela "Dr. Joaquín V. González" and the school N° 547 "Heroes of Malvinas" in Rosario, they were carried out (in both cases) through joint contributions of nation and province.
ASSETS AND PUBLIC SPACES
Finally, it is remarked the Recovery of Assets Programme, initiative aimed at vindicating the historical identity of Santa Fe and retrieve the splendor of emblematic buildings.
16 of these works have been inaugurated in the last 30 months of this administration: "the chapel San Antonio del Puerto de Reconquista located by the route 1 near Santa Rosa de Calchines; the Waldensian Church in San Carlos Sur, and the Tiferet Israel Synagogue in Monigotes."
In Rosario, the Lavardén building and the stained glass windows of the Spanish Club, as well as the Auditorium located in civic square at the seat of Government of the province in that city and the first stage of the project "Young City", which includes the renovation and refurbishment of the old port sheds located by the Paraná River, near the National Monument to the Flag.
Also, in the city of Santa Fe there were completed revaluing tasks of the iconic mansion where Brigadier Estanislao López lived between 1819 and 1838, current headquarters of the General Archives of the province.
In the capital city, it was recovered the Aldao’s House (built in 1711), one of the few samples that are kept in the country of Hispanic architecture. Also in the city of Santa Fe: the Casona Echagüe, which is part of the architectural heritage of the city, and the parked named “Library of the National Constitution”, a new meeting space that was carried out through joint works with the government of the city.
In the context of this programme, it was also recovered in the same period the former train station in Firmat, the Verdi Theatre in Canada de Gomez, the Atuch’s House in Nelson and the building of the Italo – Argentinian Society in Humberto Primo, and the new headquarters of ISEP and the Civic Center of Region 3 on the grounds of the former Liceo Militar in Recreo.
